New Exhibit:"Balance", a juried exhibit at The Herberger Theater is showing "Leaf #2", a new graphite piece. The show runs through March 2, 2014.
New Exhibit: The Shemer Art Center is currently having a showing titled MicroDwell and MicroArt focusing on the concept of reducing our carbon footprint. Architects were invited to design and build living structures of 600 square feet or less and artists were invited to submit artwork, 12"x12" or less, to coincide with the event. I have five new colored pencil on wood pieces featured in my Still Life Gallery (Fruit Landscape series). The show runs through March 23, 2014. New Exhibit: Mesa Arts Center is currently showing "M8K Marks Exhibition of Past and Current Faculty" from January 24 through April 27, 2014. New Exhibit: Tempe Center for the Arts kicked off its fall season with its five year anniversary celebration exhibition: Juried Biennial: Wood. I am honored to have two of my colored pencil on wood pieces included in the showing which runs through January 5, 2013. A panel discussion will be held which includes several of the artist participants on November 1, 2012 from 6-8 P.M at the gallery located at 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281. Upcoming Event: Jerry's Artarama art supply stores periodically hold national competitions, often specific to a particular brand or medium, featuring the winners on their website. Three of my pieces were awarded Honorable Mentions in two categories: Colored Pencil and Pastel - my two passions! I will provide the link to these galleris as soon as they become available. Gem at ASU: A wonderful student-run gallery is located at the Tempe campus of Arizona State Unversity! Three of my pieces were included in an exhibition titled "Utopian Dreams". Archive: Three pieces have been accepted into the Herberger Theater's "The Poetry of the Arizona Landscape" juried exhibit beginning June 1st and running through August 12th. This exhibit will be held at the University Club Phoenix, 39 East Monte Vista, Phoenix, with the opening reception being held on June 3rd from 5:30-7:00.
Archive: The Superstition Review, an online literary magazine at Arizona State University, will feature my work in the Spring 2011 publication, due out 5/4/2011.
